Akbar Abdi's family donates memorabilia to museum

The family of the late Iranian actor Akbar Abdi has announced that a collection of his personal belongings and honorary plaques has been donated to a museum in Ardabil to preserve his legacy for future generations. There are also indications that a street or location in Ardabil may be named in his honor.

Regarding his final resting place, Abdi's wife confirmed that while the family appreciates the kindness of individuals who placed a temporary stone on his grave, they have commissioned a new headstone. This new stone, which features a selected poem, is expected to be installed in the coming days as the 40th day since his passing approaches.

Akbar Abdi, a prominent figure in Iranian cinema, theater, and television, passed away at the age of 66 following a period of illness. Over a career spanning several decades, he appeared in more than 100 works, including notable films such as ‘Ejareh-neshin-ha’ and ‘Dozd-e Aroosak-ha’, as well as popular television series like ‘Mahalleh Boroubiya’.
