AKBP Roby Heri Saputra sanctioned for police ethics violations

Polda Metro Jaya has imposed ethical sanctions on AKBP Roby Heri Saputra, the former Head of Criminal Investigation (Kasatreskrim) for the Central Jakarta Metro Police. Following a hearing by the Indonesian National Police Professional Ethics Commission (KKEP) on September 29, 2024, Roby was found guilty of violating professional ethics through disgraceful conduct that undermined the dignity of the police institution.

The sanctions include a formal declaration of his actions as disgraceful, a requirement to issue both oral and written apologies, and placement in a special facility. Roby has been relieved of his previous duties and currently holds the status of a mid-level officer (Pamen) in the Yanma unit without a specific position.
