Akdeniz Municipality conducts regular cleaning of religious sites

Akdeniz Municipality in Mersin is conducting regular cleaning operations for religious sites across the district. Under the direction of Akdeniz District Governor and Deputy Mayor Murat Beşikci, the cleaning teams are servicing 114 mosques, 45 prayer rooms, and 2 churches.

The cleaning program is managed by the municipality’s Park and Gardens Directorate. The initiative aims to ensure that citizens can perform their worship in clean, healthy, and peaceful environments. Officials stated that the municipality applies the same level of sensitivity to all religious sites, regardless of faith, to maintain hygiene standards throughout the district.
