Akdeniz Municipality in Mersin is providing home cleaning and personal care services to support vulnerable residents. Managed by the Directorate of Women and Family Services, the initiative specifically targets elderly citizens, individuals living alone, and people with disabilities.

Professional teams visit homes to perform comprehensive cleaning, ensuring residents live in hygienic and comfortable environments. Beyond physical labor, the program serves as a social support mechanism, with staff engaging in social interaction to reduce feelings of isolation among participants.

Additionally, the service includes personal care and hairdressing support for women, allowing them to receive these services within the comfort of their own homes. Murat Beşikci, Akdeniz District Governor and Deputy Mayor, stated that the municipality aims to touch the lives of citizens directly and ensure they do not feel alone.
