Akşehir Culture Center Hosts Nationwide Folk Dance Showcase

On a Saturday evening, the Akşehir Culture Center in Turkey staged a three‑hour program featuring folk dances from across the country. The event, which began at 20:30, drew a full house early, with audiences standing to watch performances from regions including Antalya, Rize, Gaziantep, Bolu, Muğla, Van, Kırklareli, Mardin and the host town of Akşehir.

Organizers highlighted the venue’s advanced technical facilities, and the program opened with a moment of silence and the national anthem, followed by remarks from local officials such as District Education Director Barbaros Topaloğlu. Various school groups performed traditional dances, received plaques, and were thanked by municipal leaders. The performances were recorded and later streamed on the Vizyon HD YouTube channel, extending the reach beyond the live audience.
