Akşehir Municipality provides 4.8 million TL in social support

Akşehir Municipality in Konya has distributed 4,821,000 TL in cash assistance to 379 families as part of a large-scale social support initiative. This represents the fifth payment installment under a broader 2026 social aid budget totaling 20 million TL.

A key feature of the program is that payments are deposited directly into the bank accounts of the women in each household. This strategy aims to ensure that funds are effectively directed toward essential household needs and family budgets.

Mayor Dr. A. Nuri Köksal stated that the municipality is utilizing local resources to support the welfare and solidarity of the district's residents amidst challenging economic conditions.
