Akeramos Art Center hosts ceramic horse exhibition in Cappadocia

The Akeramos Art Center has launched the “Horses Born from Fire Mixed Ceramic Exhibition” as part of its 10th-anniversary celebrations. Held at the Güray Underground Ceramic Museum in Avanos, Cappadocia, the exhibition opened on October 24 and is scheduled to remain open until November 5, 2026.

The exhibition’s manifesto explores the horse as a symbol of freedom, strength, courage, and the struggle of life, moving beyond its physical form to represent the human desire to transcend boundaries. The works utilize ceramic art to illustrate the journey of earth being tested by fire, where forms are reborn between fragility and resistance.

The exhibition features works by various artists, including Arzu Şekercioğlu, Ayfer Evren, Aysun Çölbayır Diniz, Ayşe Ünal, Ayşen Köse, Betül Gizdeş, Elif Erdursun, Elif Serttepe, Ferahi Arpaç Öztimur, Gamze Berber, Gamze Hüzmen Aksoy, Hilal Ûlker Çahantimur, Hilal Maner, İpek Ekim, Mirna Biyediç, Nesrin Turşucular, and Nihan Alpa.
