Akhil Sachdeva discusses underutilized singing potential

Music composer Akhil Sachdeva has stated that his singing abilities have not been utilized to their full potential within the film industry. Following the release of the song ‘Piya Ghar Aaya – Homecoming’ from the film ‘Awarapan 2’, Sachdeva discussed the challenges of navigating market forces and industry expectations.

Reflecting on a career spanning 15 years in music and 10 years in Bollywood, Sachdeva noted that while he has composed several successful tracks, he has not been frequently featured as a singer. He expressed a preference for writing and composing his own material to ensure his unique creative voice and emotional intent are preserved, stating, “What I want to say in my own way, no one else will be able to say it.”

Sachdeva described music as a divine gift and emphasized the importance of maintaining an individual identity to connect with fans. He noted that his tendency to handle multiple creative roles often stemmed from necessity rather than a craving for control.
