Akhilesh Yadav blames BJP for corruption in Uttar Pradesh expressways and education system

Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav accused the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Uttar Pradesh of widespread corruption and mismanagement. He said express‑way projects such as the Lucknow‑Kanpur corridor are plagued by shoddy construction, frequent potholes and cost overruns, alleging that the BJP is building “jagged roads” under the guise of development.

Yadav also criticised the state’s education sector, claiming the BJP has ruined the system by closing more than 22,000 primary schools, neglecting basic facilities in government schools, and allowing school buildings to fall into disrepair. He warned that these policies jeopardise the future of students and youth in the state.
