Akhilesh Yadav Demands ₹1 Crore Compensation for NEET Paper‑Leak Victims in Indian Parliament

In a Lok Sabha debate on a bill intended to stop examination paper leaks, Samajwadi Party MP Akhilesh Yadav accused the BJP‑led government of undermining India’s education system. He highlighted the closure of more than 100,000 primary schools, criticised the National Testing Agency’s role, and claimed the government has no genuine plan to improve schooling.

Yadav demanded a compensation of ₹1 crore for each family of students who committed suicide after the NEET paper‑leak scandal. He also said that the resignation of former education minister Dharmendra Pradhan “saved the Prime Minister,” and likened the government’s handling of exam leaks to its failure to prevent theft of temple offerings.
