Akhilesh Yadav responds to Akash Anand's 'uncle' remark

Akash Anand, the National Coordinator of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), sparked political tension in Uttar Pradesh after referring to Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi as ‘uncle’ during a public meeting in Hathras. Anand used the term to mock the older leadership while positioning himself as a representative of the youth and Gen-Z movements.

Akhilesh Yadav responded by stating that the political debate should not be limited to the ‘uncle’ comment. He argued that the real issues involve education, examination integrity, and the Ram Mandir. Yadav suggested that the government is avoiding meaningful discussion in the legislature on these interconnected topics.

SP MP Dharmendra Yadav added that the government is evading debate on critical matters such as temple donations, student protests, and the reservation system, claiming the ruling party lacks answers to these pressing concerns.
