Akhilesh Yadav to visit Ayodhya for religious event

Samajwadi Party national president and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav is scheduled to visit Ayodhya on October 8. He will attend a Shrimad Bhagwat Katha religious program held at the residence of former minister and former Ayodhya MLA Tej Narayan Pandey, also known as Pawan Pandey.

While the primary purpose of the visit is to participate in the religious discourse and meet with local supporters, there is speculation regarding a visit to the Ram Mandir. Party spokespersons indicated that while a visit to the temple is not currently on the official schedule due to a busy itinerary, Yadav may visit the temple and Hanuman Garhi in the future, following the consecration of the Kedareswar Mahadev Temple in Saifai.

Local leaders, including Ayodhya MP Avadhesh Prasad, have welcomed the visit. The Samajwadi Party views the trip as an opportunity to engage with workers and discuss local politics and strategies for the 2027 assembly elections.
