Akhilesh Yadav to visit Raebareli on September 24

Akhilesh Yadav, leader of the Samajwadi Party and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, is scheduled to visit Raebareli on September 24. During this visit, he plans to visit the residence of party MLA Rahul Lodhi to engage in political discussions.

The visit follows a recent confrontation in Raebareli on September 17 at Firoz Gandhi Degree College. A dispute erupted between members of the Samajwadi Chhatra Sabha and the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) during a membership campaign, resulting in arguments and physical altercations. Following the incident, Samajwadi Party workers protested at the Superintendent of Police office, alleging that police used lathi charges to disperse them and that MLA Rahul Lodhi was also subjected to physical manhandling.

Political analysts suggest that Yadav’s visit and his decision to meet with Lodhi serve as a strategic move to connect with the Lodhi community, which represents a significant voter base of over one crore in Uttar Pradesh.
