Akhilesh Yadav visits JPNIC amid political criticism from Omprakash Rajbhar

On the birth anniversary of Jayaprakash Narayan, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav visited the Jayaprakash Narayan International Centre (JPNIC) in Lucknow to pay floral tributes to the leader's statue.

Following the visit, Uttar Pradesh Minister Omprakash Rajbhar criticized Yadav regarding the JPNIC project. Rajbhar raised questions concerning the project's expenditures, the incomplete construction, and the alleged role of family members in the management committee. He specifically questioned the inclusion of proposed commercial facilities such as hotels, clubs, and gyms, asking, ‘What kind of socialism was this, where assets are built with public money and the earnings are managed by one's own people?’

Additionally, Rajbhar challenged Yadav to contest elections from Ayodhya, following previous remarks made by the Samajwadi Party leader regarding Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Rajbhar also accused the Samajwadi Party of prioritizing wealthy individuals and family members for Rajya Sabha seats rather than the PDA (Backward, Dalit, and Minority) groups the party claims to represent.
