Akiko Wada and Jumbo Takao to perform ceremonial pitch for Lotte

The Chiba Lotte Marines have announced that singer Akiko Wada and comedian Jumbo Takao from the duo ‘Rainbow’ will attend the team’s game against the Rakuten Eagles on September 16 at ZOZO Marine Stadium.

The pair will participate in the ceremonial pitch. The event is tied to the TBS television program ‘Akko to Jumbo’, and footage of the pitch is scheduled to air on the show on October 6.

Wada expressed her nervousness regarding the event, noting it is only the second time in her life she will perform a ceremonial pitch. Jumbo Takao, a native of Makuhari, described the opportunity to visit Marine Stadium as a dream, noting his history as a former Lotte fan club member.
