Akita companies show record SDG engagement

A survey conducted by Teikoku Databank's Akita branch reveals that 75.6% of companies in Akita Prefecture are actively working toward one or more of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This figure marks a record high since the survey began in 2020, suggesting that the significance of SDGs has become more deeply integrated within the local business community.

The most prominent areas of focus for these companies include “Affordable and Clean Energy” and “Sustainable Cities and Communities,” with both categories receiving 31.1% of responses.
