Akita Governor announces project to reach Koshien top eight within five years

Akita Governor Kenta Suzuki has announced a new project aimed at strengthening high school baseball within the prefecture. Speaking during a budget committee session, Suzuki stated a goal to have Akita-based teams reach the top eight of the Koshien tournament within the next five years.

The initiative is scheduled to launch next fiscal year to improve the competitive capabilities of local high school baseball programs.
