Akita Prefecture appoints fitness instructor Marina Takewaki as Health Ambassador

Fitness instructor Marina Takewaki has been appointed as the ‘Akita Health Ambassador’ for Akita Prefecture, effective September 7, 2026. Takewaki, a native of Akita, will support the prefecture’s initiatives to extend healthy life expectancy and prevent lifestyle-related diseases.

Through her significant social media presence, which includes over 5 million followers, Takewaki will promote healthy habits that can be easily integrated into daily life. Her role will involve using SNS and video content to reach both Akita residents and a national audience, highlighting the importance of enjoyable, sustainable health practices.

The appointment was announced by UUUM Inc., MARINESS Co., Ltd., and P2C Studio Co., Ltd. Takewaki is scheduled to participate in an official appointment ceremony on September 7, 2026.
