Akita Prefecture honors top miso and soy sauce producers

The 72nd Akita Prefecture Miso and Soy Sauce Evaluation held an awards ceremony on October 16 in Akita City. The Akita Governor's Award, the highest honor, was presented to six products across two categories.

In the miso category, the winners were ‘Marujo Ha-go’ from Ando Brewing, ‘Yamakichi Handmade Miso I-go’ from Yamakichi Miso Shoyu Brewing, and ‘Fukuju Ro-go’ from Asari Sasuke Shoten.

In the soy sauce category, the recipients were ‘Marujo I-go’ from Ando Brewing, ‘Yamakichi I-go’ from Yamakichi Miso Shoyu Brewing, and ‘Maruichi Ha-go’ from Maruichi Shoyu Miso Brewing.
