Akkodis expands digital engineering via AI mobility and aerospace acquisition

Digital engineering consulting firm Akkodis is expanding its technological and industrial footprint through two major developments. In the mobility sector, Akkodis is collaborating with the Hamburg Public Transport Association (HVV) to develop MIA, an AI-driven conversational app. Designed to act as a ‘Siri of public transportation,’ the app aims to unify timetables, route planning, ticketing, and taxi services into a single interface to simplify the passenger experience.

Simultaneously, Akkodis has completed the acquisition of SOGECLAIR’s engineering activities dedicated to Airbus. This move strengthens Akkodis’ position in the aerospace and defense sectors, specifically in aerostructures, cabin engineering, and industrial manufacturing. The acquisition includes 366 highly qualified engineers across France, Spain, Germany, Canada, India, and the United Kingdom, with transfers in the United States and Tunisia pending regulatory approval.
