Akın Akınözü prepares for role in ‘Aşk ve Taht’ series

Actor Akın Akınözü has undergone five months of intensive training to portray Sultan Alaeddin Keykubat in the upcoming television series ‘Aşk ve Taht’ (Love and Throne). Produced by Bozdağ Film for the ATV network, the series focuses on a significant era of the Anatolian Seljuk Empire.

To prepare for the role, Akınözü engaged in a comprehensive regimen starting in April, which included horseback riding, archery, close combat, and CrossFit. Beyond physical training, the actor worked with directors Yağmur Taylan, Durul Taylan, and Cem Toluay to develop the character's emotional depth. He also received instruction from historical consultants regarding the sociological landscape and social etiquette of the period to ensure an authentic portrayal of the ruler.
