Akıncı TİHA successfully tests Aselsan’s Morfoz Guidance Kit
Turkey’s Akıncı combat unmanned aerial vehicle (TİHA), developed by Baykar, has successfully completed its first firing test using the Morfoz Guidance Kit (MGK). The test was conducted over the Saros Gulf.
During the mission, the Akıncı aircraft took off from the Çorlu Flight Training and Test Center in Tekirdağ. It utilized the MGK, developed by Aselsan with entirely domestic components, alongside Alpagut ammunition developed by Roketsan and STM. The aircraft achieved a direct hit on its designated target during the initial shot.
The successful integration of the MGK expands the Akıncı’s operational capabilities. The platform has previously integrated a wide range of domestic munitions, including the MAM series, TOLUN, TEBER, and various supersonic missiles and cruise missiles, allowing it to engage diverse target types.
