AKOMATİK mathematics game-based learning pilot begins in Konya

The AKOMATİK Intelligence Sport Mathematics Games system has launched as a pilot program in several districts, including Akşehir, Ereğli, and central Konya. Developed through 22 years of educational experience by Mehmet Ali Okur, the initiative aims to increase student interest in mathematics while enhancing problem-solving, analytical thinking, and strategic skills through games and competitions.

The program is a collaborative effort involving the Ministry of National Education, universities, and local administrations. It includes an ‘Academic Games-Based Education Module’ that has already seen instructor training in Istanbul, Konya, and other provinces. The pilot implementation targets students from kindergarten through high school, involving teachers, administrators, and parents in the process.

While the system has been used manually and digitally for the past six years, it is scheduled to transition to a fully digital platform by 2026. Efforts are also underway with the Ministry of Youth and Sports to include the system within the scope of school sports and eventually integrate it into international intelligence sports.
