Čakovec preschoolers celebrate Croatian Olympic Day

Preschoolers in Čakovec celebrated Croatian Olympic Day with a series of organized physical activities at Zrinski Park. Although the official day is observed on September 10, local organizers rescheduled the event due to previous inclement weather.

The program, organized by the Čakovec Sports Association Community, the Međimurje County Sports Association and Federation, and the Marijan Zadravec Macan Gymnastics Club, featured an orientation course. Children navigated six stations marked with Olympic flags, completing simple exercises such as squats and single-leg hops to earn stamps on their cards.

Participants wore white shirts to symbolize friendship, mirroring the background of the Olympic flag. The event included contributions from local athletes, such as Filip Ude, and was attended by Čakovec Mayor Ljerka Cividini, who emphasized the importance of an active and healthy lifestyle. The initiative aims to promote the Olympic movement and encourage regular physical activity among youth.
