Akpabio urges Osun State to utilize federal allocations for development

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has stated that Osun State should experience greater development due to the significant financial allocations it receives from the Federal Government. Speaking in Osogbo ahead of the governorship election, Akpabio noted that the state has sufficient resources to transform its infrastructure and improve living conditions.

Akpabio urged the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, to use state funds judiciously and align with the federal government to ensure residents feel the dividends of democracy. He specifically highlighted the poor state of roads, such as the route between Ibadan and Osogbo, as an area requiring urgent attention.

Furthermore, the Senate President called for greater accountability in the management of public funds and encouraged voters to prioritize development, security, and economic opportunities over political sentiment. He also appealed to all stakeholders to maintain peace throughout the electoral process.
