AKRacing launches lifestyle chair using Bishu cotton fabric
Techwind Co., Ltd. has announced the release of the ‘AKRacing BISHU’, a new lifestyle chair from the AKRacing gaming brand. Scheduled for release on October 8, the chair utilizes 100% cotton fabric woven in the Bishu region of Japan.
Bishu, centered around Ichinomiya City in Aichi Prefecture, is recognized as one of the world’s three major textile production centers alongside Huddersfield in the UK and Biella in Italy. The AKRacing BISHU is based on the brand’s ‘Premium series’ and features a design intended to blend into home interiors, such as studies or living rooms, rather than traditional high-contrast gaming aesthetics. The chair features a Nordic-inspired striped pattern in blue, navy, gray, and beige.
Functionally, the chair includes seat tilt and full-flat reclining capabilities, along with an oversized headrest designed for comfort during both work and relaxation. The product is a certified Bishu Mark product and has been selected as a hometown tax (furusato nozei) gift for Ichinomiya City.
