Akram Hamidi moves to atomweight ahead of Numsurin fight

Akram Hamidi Numsurin Chor Ketwina ONE Championship Muay Thai atomweight

French-Algerian striker Akram Hamidi has announced his move to the atomweight division ahead of his Muay Thai main event against Numsurin Chor Ketwina. The bout is scheduled for October 30 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok as part of The Inner Circle 36.

Hamidi, a three-time ISKA Kickboxing World Champion with a 55-6 record, stated that his previous weight class of 57 kilograms was too heavy for him. He believes the atomweight division is his natural weight class and will allow his speed to be more effective.

This matchup follows Hamidi’s recent comeback victory over Watcharaphon Laochokcharoen at ONE Friday Fights 164. His opponent, Numsurin Chor Ketwina, is a former ONE World Title challenger who previously took reigning champion Nadaka Yoshinari the distance.
