Akron defeats Wake Forest 1-0 in soccer

The No. 10 ranked Akron Zips defeated the Wake Forest Demon Deacons 1-0 at FirstEnergy Stadium. Noa Testa scored the decisive goal in the 84th minute, marking his first collegiate goal. The goal was assisted by Brett Kaminski and Matthew Paiva.

Akron controlled much of the match, leading in nearly every statistical category, including possession (62 percent) and shots (17 to 9). Goalkeeper Brett Kaminski secured the shutout by making one save on Wake Forest's single attempt on goal. The victory improves Akron's record to 2-0-1.
