Aksa Energy delegation meets Ghana Revenue Authority to discuss tax compliance

A delegation from Aksa Energy, led by Chief Finance Officer Cevdet Yalcin, met with the Commissioner-General of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), Anthony Kwasi Sarpong, in Accra on October 2. The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between the energy company and the revenue authority, specifically regarding compliance with Ghana’s tax laws.

During the discussions, Aksa Energy reaffirmed its commitment to acting as a responsible corporate citizen and meeting its statutory tax obligations. The GRA emphasized the importance of constructive engagement and sustained dialogue with taxpayers to foster a transparent and cooperative tax environment. This initiative is part of the GRA’s broader strategy to improve domestic revenue mobilisation and stakeholder relationships.

Aksa Energy, a global power generation company under Kazancı Holding, operates significant facilities in Ghana, including the Tema HFO and Natural Gas Power Plant and the Kumasi Anwomaso power plant project.
