Aksaray civilian subdues knife-wielding attacker, preventing injuries
In the Ereğlikapı neighbourhood of Aksaray, Turkey, a dispute escalated when one man drew a knife and tried to attack people nearby. A passer‑by intervened, striking the attacker with a slap that caused him to lose consciousness. The civilian then held the suspect by his T‑shirt and dragged him away from the scene. Police arrived shortly after, found no injuries and recorded the incident. Both parties filed no complaints, and the suspect was released after a statement was taken. The whole episode was captured on a by‑stander's mobile phone.
Authorities placed the area under security measures while the investigation concluded without further legal action.
