Aksaray horse requires emergency care after vehicle collision

In Aksaray, Turkey, a horse suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in the Yavuz Sultan Selim neighborhood. The animal sustained a broken left hind leg, bleeding from the mouth, and potential lung injuries.

Local police officers provided initial aid, including providing water and attempting to calm the animal, while waiting for municipal assistance. Reports indicate a significant delay in professional veterinary care; despite calls to the municipality, the directorate of agriculture, and animal hospitals, a municipal worker arrived after two and a half hours without a veterinarian. A private veterinarian eventually arrived three hours after the incident to administer treatment and stabilize the horse.
