Viktor Hovland Takes One‑Shot Lead Over Scottie Scheffler at Travelers Championship

On Saturday's third round of the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands, Norway's Viktor Hovland birdied the 18th hole with a six‑foot putt to finish the round at six‑under 64. The shot moved him to 20‑under 190, giving him a one‑stroke lead over world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, who dropped a three‑putt bogey on the same hole to finish at 19‑under.

Patrick Cantlay and Indian‑American Akshay Bhatia were tied for third place at 15‑under, while other contenders such as Eric Cole, Shane Lowry and Wyndham Clark remained within striking distance. Bhatia, who posted a bogey‑free 62 earlier in the tournament, continues to chase his fourth PGA Tour title.

The Travelers Championship is a PGA Tour Signature Event with a $20 million purse; the winner will earn $3.6 million, 700 FedExCup points and an invitation to next year’s tournament.

The final round is set for Sunday, with live streaming on Fubo, ticket sales through StubHub and tee‑time details released by the organizers. "Just had a great time," Hovland said after his lead‑securing birdie.
