Akshay Khanna to play Shukracharya in upcoming film Mahakali

Actor Akshay Khanna is set to make his debut in Telugu cinema through the pan-India mythological film ‘Mahakali’. Khanna will portray the powerful antagonist Shukracharya, the guru of the Asuras.

RKD Studios has teased a major announcement or first look scheduled for August 24, using the cryptic social media caption, “August 24—the end begins.” While specific details remain unconfirmed, fans anticipate a promo or video reveal regarding his transformation, which features long white hair and a beard.

The film is part of the Prashanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU), which previously launched with the film ‘Hanu-Man’. Directed by Pooja Aparna Kolluru and produced by R.K. Duggal and Rivaaj Ramesh Duggal, the project also stars Bhumi Shetty and Rohit Saraf.
