Akshay Kumar advances multiple film projects including Haiwaan and Samuk

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is advancing several major film projects. The trailer for ‘Haiwaan’, a dark crime thriller directed by Priyadarshan, has been released. The film marks a reunion between Kumar and Saif Ali Khan after 18 years. In the psychological thriller, which is a remake of the Malayalam film ‘Oppam’, Khan plays a visually impaired man caught in a deadly game with Kumar’s character, a ruthless psychopath.

Additionally, Kumar has begun principal photography for ‘Samuk’, an ambitious survival-action thriller produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. The project combines military realism with alien mythology and features international talent, including Academy Award-nominated creature designer Alec Gillis. Shooting for ‘Samuk’ is taking place in London and Mumbai, with a planned theatrical release in 2027.

Furthermore, reports indicate a professional reunion between Akshay Kumar and director Sajid Khan. Following the completion of Khan’s current project, the duo is expected to begin filming a new, untitled project in London.
