Akshay Kumar's Samuk hires international crew for alien thriller

Samuk Akshay Kumar Hindi cinema alien thriller production design

The upcoming Hindi alien thriller Samuk, starring Akshay Kumar and directed by Kanishk Varma, has expanded its international technical crew. Chris Peters, an art director associated with Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday, has joined the production to assist with the film's world-building.

In addition to Peters, the project has recruited Oscar-nominated creature effects designer Alec Gillis to design the central alien character. British action director Luke Tumber, known for work on major franchises such as Mission: Impossible and Star Wars, will also handle the film's action sequences.

The production is currently filming in Cardiff, Wales, with plans for an extensive UK schedule over the next two months. The film aims to blend military realism, survival horror, and alien mythology, focusing on high-level craft in production design and practical effects.
