Aksu Municipality conducts pepper spray training for municipal police

The Aksu Municipality Municipal Police Department organized a training program for its personnel on the conscious use of pepper spray as defensive equipment. The training was designed to prepare officers for potential resistance or physical attacks encountered during their duties.

Conducted at the Aksu Municipality meeting hall, the session was led by Police Officer Ferhat Yılmaz from the Antalya Provincial Police Department Riot Police Branch. The program included theoretical instruction regarding the effects of the gas, necessary precautions during exposure, and legal limitations. This was followed by practical demonstrations in an open area covering target selection, distance, and post-use measures.

The training was held in accordance with Article 45 of the Municipal Police Regulation, which covers defensive equipment. Aksu Municipal Police Director Kaan Aydın emphasized that these efforts aim to increase professional knowledge and ensure staff can perform their duties more consciously while providing effective service to citizens.
