Akwa Ibom Governor declines to disclose Ibom Tower project costs

Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno has declined to disclose the specific contract cost for the Ibom Tower, an 18-storey commercial development currently under construction in Lagos State. Despite cumulative budgetary provisions totaling N41.05 billion across the 2024, 2025, and 2026 fiscal years, the Governor stated that the final cost is still being determined due to ongoing input from project consultants. He noted that providing a figure prematurely could lead to public scrutiny regarding price changes.

Separately, Governor Eno has called upon Akwa Ibom indigenes in the diaspora to support the state’s development through investment and professional expertise. Speaking at the 39th annual convention of the Akwa Ibom State Association of Nigeria (AKISAN) in Dallas, Texas, the Governor emphasized the state’s progress in sectors such as healthcare, tourism, and infrastructure as part of his administration’s ARISE Agenda.
