Akwa Ibom women begin free 12-week digital skills training

In Akwa Ibom, 250 women have begun a fully funded 12-week digital skills training program designed to foster economic independence and tech development. Sponsored by the Golden Initiative For All (GIFA) under the Tech Women Initiative, the program aims to connect participants to the global digital economy.

Helen Eno Obareki, representing the office of the First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, emphasized that the training provides access to essential skills, opportunities, and relationships. Participants are encouraged to identify individual strengths within the technology sector to convert creativity and passion into viable economic opportunities.
