AkzoNobel expects stable Q3 2026 results amid Axalta merger
AkzoNobel is expected to report stable results for the third quarter of 2026. According to analyst consensus, revenue is projected at 2.58 billion euros with an adjusted EBITDA of 387 million euros. This compares to a third-quarter revenue of 2.55 billion euros and an adjusted EBITDA of 385 million euros in the same period last year.
The company is currently undergoing a merger with Axalta, which was announced in November 2025. Following the merger, the combined entity will operate under the name Axanzo, with completion expected early next year. The merger will bring together approximately 100 brands operating in more than 160 countries.
Analysts from Citi have expressed a positive outlook regarding the company's fundamentals and the potential synergies from the Axalta acquisition. Despite concerns regarding volume decreases in Europe and a slower recovery in China, profit expectations have risen due to cost savings and strong performance in industrial coatings. Citi considers the target of 600 million dollars in cost synergies to be achievable.
