Al-Ahli Saudi FC dismisses sporting director Rui Pedro Braz

Al-Ahli Saudi FC has cancelled the contract of sporting director Rui Pedro Braz following intense backlash from supporters. The decision comes amid dissatisfaction with the club’s summer transfer management, specifically regarding the departure of stars like Riyad Mahrez and Franck Kessie, and the perceived poor value in new signings.

In an effort to bolster the squad, the club is reportedly in advanced negotiations with AS Monaco to sign 19-year-old midfielder Pape Cabral for approximately €10 million. This move follows a period of instability for the club, which also saw the departure of manager Matthias Jaissle and recent disappointing on-field performances, including a 0-3 loss to Al-Hilal.
