Al Ahly aims to renew Shobier and Ashour contracts before new season

Al Ahly has prioritized the renewal of contracts for international duo Mustafa Shobier and Imam Ashour ahead of the upcoming season. Shobier's deal runs until the end of the 2026‑27 campaign, while Ashour is contracted through summer 2028. The club is also reviewing the terms of Mohamed Hany and Marwan Attia to align with their contributions.

Technical director Hussein Amouta will lead the squad's pre‑season preparations, with a training camp scheduled in Spain from July 31 to August 12. Player Ahmed Shobier warned against a salary‑cap policy, emphasizing that a professional era permits substantial wage offers. The club expects the international players to return from the 2026 World Cup before finalizing the agreements, targeting a full squad readiness for the league start on August 20.
