Al Ahly and Saudi club Al Ittihad negotiate $10 million deal for midfielder Imam Ashour

Al Ahly insists on a $10 million fee to release midfielder Imam Ashour, rejecting Al Ittihad’s $8 million offer. Al Ittihad has proposed paying the sum in two instalments—$6 million in January and $4 million in March—while Al Ahly prefers a single full payment, causing talks to stall.

A Turkish side, Konya Spor, has also shown interest, offering $3 million to Al Ahly, with a possible increase to $3.5 million, but the Egyptian club dismissed the informal proposal, stating any move must involve a formal, suitably valued offer. Meanwhile, Al Ahly is preparing a contract renewal for Ashour, planning a salary comparable to the team's top earners and a commercial agreement to leverage his marketing value.
