Al Ahly overcomes two-goal deficit to beat El Sharkia Enppi

Al Ahly secured a 3-2 comeback victory against El Sharkia Enppi in their Egyptian Premier League opener, marking a successful debut for new manager Hussein Ammouta. Despite trailing 2-0 following goals from Ali Ehab and Mohamed Essam, Al Ahly responded with strikes from Marwan Attia and a penalty by Ahmed Sayed Zizo.

In the final moments of the match, substitute Mohamed Magdy Afsha scored the winning goal in the 90th minute. The match has drawn scrutiny regarding a controversial penalty awarded to Al Ahly, with former player Ahmed Hossam Midou criticizing the decision.

Elsewhere in the opening round, newly promoted clubs showed strong form. Abu Qair Fertilizers secured a historic 1-0 win over Bank Ahly, while Canal SC achieved a 2-1 comeback victory against Ceramica Cleopatra. In contrast, league champions Zamalek were held to a 0-0 draw by Ittihad Alexandria.
