Al Ahly addressed the Egyptian Football Federation's licensing committee’s questions on its local licence for the 2026‑27 season, sending an official letter that outlined the club’s institutional sports investment strategy, the creation of subsidiary companies, and confirmation of full tax payments and compliance with Egyptian accounting standards.

The club also completed the African competition licence file, submitting official documents that prove the absence of any legal disputes, payment of all tax and social‑insurance obligations, and audited financial statements for the 2025‑26 fiscal year. Sources noted that the submission meets the federation’s transparency and fairness criteria.

In parallel, Al Ahly has opened negotiations with Jordanian striker Ali Alwan of Qatar’s Al Sailiya, dispatching a formal offer while discussions continue over the financial terms and a contractual penalty clause.
