Al Ahly heads to Spain for pre‑season camp and Joan Gamper Cup clash with Barcelona

Egyptian club Al Ahly wrapped up its domestic preparation with two intra‑city friendlies, beating the Stars 6‑2 and Petrol Asyut 2‑0. The squad then gathered at Cairo International Airport and departed for a training camp in Spain scheduled to run until 19 August. Coach Hussein Amouta and board member Tarik Qandil are overseeing a program that includes three European friendlies, the highlight being a Joan Gamper Cup match against Barcelona at Camp Nou on 19 August. The encounter will be broadcast in the MENA region and marks Al Ahly’s first appearance in the annual Catalan tournament.
