Al Ahly players face injury concerns ahead of upcoming matches
Al Ahly football club is managing injury concerns for key players ahead of a busy November schedule.
Islam Gamal, the personal strength and conditioning coach for Emam Ashour, reported that the player has been suffering from persistent adductor muscle pain and pelvic inflammation. These issues, which reportedly began during the 2026 World Cup, affect Ashour's ability to change direction and rotate effectively on the pitch. Gamal noted that Ashour has continued to play despite the pain to support the team.
Additionally, Al Ahly team doctor Ahmed Gaballah confirmed that Hussein El Shahat is experiencing pain in the lower abdominal muscles. El Shahat has been prescribed 48 hours of rest and will undergo medical examinations to determine his recovery progress.
The club is preparing for several competitions this month, including the Capital Cup, the Egyptian League, the Egypt Cup, and the CAF Confederation Cup.
