Al Ahly SC denies rumors of Wessam Abou Ali return

Reports regarding the potential return of Palestinian striker Wessam Abou Ali to Al Ahly SC during the upcoming winter transfer window have been denied by media personality Ahmed Shobier and sources within the club.

Sources from Al Ahly clarified that the club has not entered into any negotiations with the player, who is currently under contract with the American side Columbus Crew. The club noted that it cannot negotiate for a player bound to another team, especially following his previous sale to the MLS club for approximately $7 million.

Additionally, the player's current medical status was cited as a factor, as he is reportedly recovering from an ACL injury. Both reports emphasize that rumors of a contract termination with Columbus Crew or active negotiations with Al Ahly are unfounded.
