Al Ahly SC rejects transfer offers for Emam Ashour and Mostafa Shobeir
Al Ahly SC management is rejecting several lucrative transfer offers to retain key players following their strong performances in the 2026 World Cup. The club has officially declined a $4.5 million bid from Turkish side Konyaspor for midfielder Emam Ashour.
Additionally, the club has turned down a nearly €2 million offer from Italian club Como for goalkeeper Mostafa Shobeir, citing his importance to the squad. While the club is open to the departures of players like Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane and Mahmoud Trezeguet to generate financial gains, it remains committed to its core stars.
Former Al Ahly player Samir Kamouna praised Ashour’s commitment to training and noted that the scrutiny the player faces is a natural consequence of his rising stardom. Kamouna, who claims to have discovered Ashour early in his career, emphasized that the player remains a vital asset for the team's upcoming matches.
