Al-Ahram Egyptian Tourism Forum opens at National Museum of Egyptian Civilization

The first edition of the Al-Ahram Egyptian Tourism Forum has opened at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization. Under the theme ‘Egyptian Tourism: From Diversity of Destinations to Enhancing Global Sustainable Competitiveness,’ the forum aims to discuss the future of the sector and its role in the national economy.

Key attendees include Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Hussein Issa, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy, and Minister of Civil Aviation Sameh El-Hefny. The event brings together government officials, private sector leaders, and industry experts to address challenges and opportunities within the industry.

The forum features six specialized discussion sessions focused on several strategic goals, including transforming Egypt's diverse tourism offerings into competitive investment opportunities, developing human resources, improving service quality, and enhancing air connectivity. A primary objective of the state's broader strategy is to reach a target of 30 million tourists by leveraging Egypt's unique cultural, religious, medical, and environmental tourism assets.
