Al Ain FC defeats Al Nassr 4-0 in AFC Champions League opener

Al Ain FC secured a dominant 4-0 victory over Al Nassr in their opening match of the AFC Champions League Elite league stage. The match, held at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium, saw Houssine Rahimi score twice, with additional goals from Soufiane Rahimi and Giorgos Giakoumakis.

Despite Al Nassr maintaining higher possession, Al Ain's clinical attacking play dismantled the Saudi side's defense. Al Nassr, which featured stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, and Joao Felix, struggled to create significant threats. Ronaldo finished the match without a goal or an assist.

Al Ain head coach Vladimir Ivic credited the win to the squad's year-long preparation, while Al Nassr coach Ange Postecoglou noted that his players were dealing with a congested match schedule.
